Job Description:
The primary objective of this role is the overall management of complex software implementation projects in strict accordance with project plans, specifications, and budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, client staff, and third- party vendors in order to deliver projects according to plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and execute project work plans and revise, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.
- Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Minimize our exposure and risk on a project.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Manage the project budget.
- Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for the project.
- Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
- Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.
- Actively participate in proposal efforts including completing project scoping and LOE assessments.
- Assure project legal documents are completed and signed.
- Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
- Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Manage day-to-day client interaction.
- Set and manage client expectations.
- Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
- Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
- Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- BS/BA degree required. PMP®, CAPM®, certification highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; experience on justice projects highly desirable.
- Documented success of completing at least 2 major software implementation projects.
- Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft® Office product suite; Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Project.
- Knowledge of common PC and server hardware platforms, and an overall understanding of centralized, distributed, and individual computing environments.
- Skilled in operation of computers and peripherals. Ability to quickly interpret technical material in books, journals or manuals.
- General understanding of application programming, database and system design.
- Travel required.
